Horas, Teman!
Released on April 2018, I was surprised
knowing our transfer, me and my spouse, to East Nusa Tenggara. Pursuant to
Decree of General Secretary of the Audit Board Number 124/K/X-X.3/04/2018 dated
April 18, 2018, we favorably had to move to Kupang. Previously, I was assigned
in North Sumatera, while my partner was in Jakarta. Going through this Long-Distance-Marriage,
we absolutely were so ecstatic hearing this good news.
This post aims to document my farewell from
Medan, and our coming to Kupang.
1. See you again, Medan
My official last day
in Medan office was June 29, 2018. Thus, I tried my best to say goodbye to some
families and friends. The very close group I had is Maksi (Makan Siang) which consists
of Amira Nadia, Ratih Khodijah, Retno Sury, Yolanda, Yudi Septian, and me. Retno
Sury has moved to Palangkaraya in the beginning of 2018.

So, farewell was
conducted by having lunch together at Manna House Medan which is located at
Jalan Cut Mutia Number 2, Madras Hulu, Medan, North Sumatera. I tried to not
burst into tears. Hahha, sometimes it’s so cliché feeling so gloomy while it’s
time to say goodbye. Until it comes to me, I truly not to feel sad. Frankly speaking,
I was so happy because I will live together with my spouse. On the other hand, I
perceived pretty sad to leave behind the office where I’ve been almost 3
years. But anyway, I thanked them to remind me the value of friendship and the
role of cutting-edge techno (read: whatsapp, etc). Just one click, I could
easily reach them.

Besides, I also said bye-bye to my division,
which was Sumatera Utara 3. I hope that every good impression I earned from
3-year-relationship could be glorify God’s name as long as I was there.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude
to:
- Mrs. Dra. Vincentia Moli Ambar Wahyuni M.M. , Ak. C.A as the Head of North Sumatera Regional Office;
- Mrs. Nyra Yuliantina S.E., M.Appl.Fin., Ak., CFE. as the Head of Sub Auditorat Sumatera Utara 3;
- Mr. Andri Yogama S.E., M.M., Ak. as the Head of Sub Auditorat Sumatera Utara 2;
- Mr. Andanu S.E., M.Si., Ak. as the Head of Sub Auditorat Sumatera Utara 1;
- Mr. Yudi Prawiratman S.E., M.M.,Ak. , CA as the Secretary of Regional Office;
- Four heads of sub divisions, namely Mrs. Misrayanti S.T., Mrs. Dra. Erika Magdalena Purba S.E., M.AP., Mr. Bambang Prayudhi S.T., M.AP., Mr. Ludfi Noviandi S.E., and Mrs. Jenny Merlinda Barita Lubis S.H., LL.M.;
- not forget to mention, all colleagues at North Sumatera Regional Office.
Most surprising thing was Maria and Dorta sent me to Kupang accidentally. They suddenly gave me a call and asked me to go up to Departure Gate before leaving to Kupang. Really, I am so touched.
2. Hello, Kupang
Flying with Batik Air (flight number
ID-6893), I departed from Medan at July 1, 2018 (9.40 p.m WIB/Indonesia Western
Standard Time), transit in Jakarta for three hours, then flied to Kupang at July
2, 2018 (3.10 a.m WIB). I met with my spouse in Jakarta to continue going to El
Tari Airport. We arrived at July 2, 2018 (7.10 a.m. WITA/Indonesia Central Standard
Time).

3. East Nusa Tenggara, from our point of view
We have spent almost three weeks in Kupang City.
This is what we personally think about Kupang City (because there is a regency
so-called Kupang):
- The weather is cold enough, especially at the dawn till morning;
- The road condition is sufficiently good (compared to Medan and Jakarta, for sure);
- Some entertainment spots are already available such as Transmart Carrefour, Lippo Mall, Hypermart (and most important one is the Body Shop and Coffee Maxx are here); and
- No traffic except due to traffic light.

Most of people say that East Nusa Tenggara has a bunch of beaches and tourist attractions. So, we happily welcome this province as our adventurous place for the next six to seven years.
