For this budget year, I was assigned to
Pematangsiantar Municipality (shortly, Siantar) to conduct audit over their
financial statements. For your information, Siantar Government submitted their
financial statements budget year 2017 on Feb 28, 2018 which made them as the
first entity who presented accountability reports to the Audit Board. After
conducted audit on their financial statements for about two months, Siantar officially
received unqualified opinion from the Audit Board.
As the second largest city in North Sumatera, Siantar has
some interesting places such as renowned coffee shops (Kok Tong and Sedap), Siantar
Zoo, Roti Ganda Shop, Horas Market, Siantar
Waterpark, and (first and foremost) super cozy Horison Hotel. Besides, several local
and foreign tourists whose destination is Toba Lake or Samosir Island often do transit
in Siantar.
Wait, the other convenient thing in Siantar is the online
transportation. I bet you know Gojek and Grab! Yes. They are in Siantar. We
could easily order Goride, Gocar, Gofood, and the other Go-Go-Go.
To me, living 60 days in Siantar was like a blink of an eye.
For those who have plans to visit North Sumatera, I suggest you to put Siantar City
in your bucket list.
