AUDIT FOLLOW-UP IN WEST NIAS

Cited from Wikipedia, Tano Niha (Nias Island) is an island off the western coast of Sumatra, Indonesia. Nias is also the name of the archipelago, including the small Hinako Islands which covers an area of 5,121.3 km2 (1,977.3 sq mi) (including minor offshore islands). It is mostly a lowland area rising to around 800 m (2,600 ft) above sea level. There were 756,338 inhabitants on the island (including minor offshore islands) at the 2010 Census. The latest estimate for January 2014 is 788,132.

I did this business trip in term of monitoring of recommendations execution (proposed by BPK) from local govt of West Nias; one of regencies in Nias. This overseeing is taken place twice in a year aiming to ensure local govt execution of BPK recommendations in all types of auditing. As stipulated in Act No. 15 Year 2006 concerning the Audit Board of the Republik of Indonesia, there are three types of audit which are Financial Statements Audit, Performance Audit, and Special Purpose Audit (such as Financial Aid for Political Parties Audit and Expenditure and Income Audit).

If you have chance to visit Nias, do please visit Sirombu Beach to enjoy its yummy grilled fish. I also felt sooo homey staying at Miga Beach Hotel. Honestly speaking, this business trip made me curious to visit other interesting places in Indonesia. #VisitIndonesia #IndonesiaKaya
